"I lived in Greenwich, SE London for ten years before I moved to Brighton
in 1990. I really like living here, it's quite a groovy place. Everything
is within easy reach: cinemas, cafes, restaurants and some of the
best country pubs in Sussex. My work as a freelance graphic designer
occasionally takes me back to London, and that's only 50 minutes away!"
"For the last three years most of my time has been spent with our son, Tom. He is six years old and in his second year at primary school. I have two other children from a previous marriage, Joanna (14 years old) and Jack (11 years old).
I have been very fortunate to take time out with Tom; we are very close. Being a 'house-husband' has been a rewarding experience, if not financially."
"Most of my work is now produced on a computer - ranging from design for exhibitions, brochures, packaging and publicity material (yawn) to illustration and design for corporate letterheads and logos. However, some of my favourite pieces of work are pre-computer rotary ink pen drawings."
My recommendations for the Inside Guide to Brighton & Hove:
Sanctuary Cafe: for the true coffee afficionado
The Tin Drum: a wine bar/restaurant at Seven Dials
Duke of York: Brighton's premier art-house cinema
