The Mass-Observation Clock   Writing for the Mass-Observation Project
About the Directives The Mass-Observation directives are usually made up of a series of questions or comments designed to act as prompts to help the correspondent to start thinking and writing about a particular theme.  They are usually thought of and written by Dorothy Sheridan (Director).  However, some directives have resulted from collaboration with researchers who have needed material to be collated on a particular topic of interest.
